Standard Number: 12.0 Structure and Properties of Matter: The student will investigate the characteristic properties of matter.

Monday – TSW complete his or her 5 paragraph essay (writing across the curriculum) on reversed inertia and absent or decreased gravity. TT will facilitate peer editing as students complete the writing assignment. Due today.

CHAPTER 18 TEST THIS FRIDAY. Remember, if you spend 10 minutes nightly reviewing your notes you will not have to cram on Thursday.

Homework: Study your chapter 18 notes.

Tuesday – TSW take notes on physical and chemical changes.

Homework: Read textbook pages 490 – 491 in preparation for tomorrow’s lab. Study your chapter 18 notes.

Wednesday – Properties of Matter Lab 2.

Homework: Complete the Chapter 18 review in your textbook.

Thursday – TTW conduct an oral review of the chapter 18 textbook review.

Homework: Study your chapter 18 notes. Do not forget about tomorrow’s test.

Friday – Chapter 18 Test Today

Homework: Read chapter 19 section 1.

Standard Number: 12.0 Structure and Properties of Matter: The student will investigate the characteristic properties of matter.

Monday – HOLIDAY

Tuesday – TTW review chapter 18 section 1 and perform a class demonstration on inertia.

Homework: Don’t forget to bring your Styrofoam egg carton. Review your class notes over mass, weight and volume.

Wednesday – TSW complete a microscope activity using the Pink Palace Microscope Suitcase.

Homework: Review your workbook notes over chapter 18 section 1.

Thursday – TTW review chapter 18 section 2. TTW focus on the measurable properties of matter.

Homework: Complete the chapter review for chapter 18.

Friday – TTW review the chapter 18 review and prepare students for next Friday’s chapter 18 test.

Homework: Review your chapter 18 notes. Be sure to study notes from your blue folder and your workbook.
