Monday – TSW write a description of the experiment that TT set up last Friday and describe what it looks like today. TSW predict what occurred over the weekend. (7.1.spi.6) TSW complete Chapter 4 Section 1 Review in the textbook (page 89) and Chapter 4 Section 2 in the workbook (pages 30-33).

Homework: Complete any unfinished classwork from today.

Tuesday – TTW lead students in a review of the diffusion Venn Diagram and classwork from yesterday. TSW use new terminology to explain the diffusion picture on page 86 of the textbook (figure 2). (7.1.spi.6)

Homework: Study your chapter 4 section 1 notes in your blue folder. Come to class prepared to explain diffusion, osmosis, passive transport and active transport.

Wednesday – TTW review the human organ systems and TSW (7.1.spi.5) determine the relationships among cells, tissues, organs, and systems given a diagram and identify the function of organ systems. TSW (7.1.spi.6) predict the movement of substances through osmosis or diffusion across the cell membrane, given solutions of different concentrations.

Homework: Study your class notes.

Thursday – TSW take notes on chapter 4 section 2. (Photosynthesis and Cellular respiration.) TTW introduce elements, compounds and the periodic table.

Homework: Complete the chapter 4 section 2 review in your textbook (page 93).

Friday – TTW review chapter 4 section 2 and the student will complete reinforcement classwork over photosynthesis and cellular respiration.

Homework: Memorize the formulas for photosynthesis and cellular respiration. Remember, if you know one you can figure out the other.
